This is my last night in Banff and I am so thankful for this experience. Just the thought of it makes me tear up. More on it later but I just wanted to say how happy I am to be here :D
In my previous post, it said that I was nominated for a spot at Club Excellence in Banff, Canada and although I thought they had already picked the people that were going, I was told on Friday that I GOT PICKED!!! So I will be going to
Banff from July 3rd to the 7th! I'm soooo excited. First time anyone on our team (in its 9 year history) has ever been nominated, let alone selected!! I'm super stoked!!
I asked my friend Missy to come with me as my guest. This is when I hate not having a signficant other, and since my bestest (my sister) will be in mexico with my mom that week, I picked Missy because she's very friendly, she's mature, knows how to handle herself, and has a great memory so if we meet people, she can remember their names!! haha.. She's a riot and I love her :)
Anyhoo, it's the day before vegas, and i got a TON of stuff to do. LOL sunday is my list day
- make a packing list
- manicure/pedicure
- Target: no-sew stickies (to hem my pants), some kind of supportive undergarments for the fancy dresses, TP
- EBgames - bitch about how the gift card I paid for with cash has no money on it. and of course this was nearly a month ago so I don't have the receipt. grrrrr.
- circuit city - get an extra memory card for my camera
- get a couple of dress tops
- book hotel for extra nights in vegas
- charge DS and figure out how to beat the guy in Zelda (where I'm stuck so I can't go on and if I can't play, then it's no use)
- go to the office to deploy the new hire's PC, organize my office so if something goes wrong, the person covering for me will know where to find things; send the email about me being away to my team and who's covering, set my auto away reply, change my voicemail greeting
- work on the video with my boss
- call for a 5:15am pickup to go to the airport
- tidy up my room & change my sheets so when I come home on Sunday at 7:30am, I can sleep in some fresh sheets :D
- update my 365 (if i go too long w/o updating it, I tend to fail!!)
- install aperture trial on my work macbook (since I will not be taking 2 macbooks (just the big 17") + the lenovo with me to vegas..
- PACK!!!!
